In December 2025, a few days after St. Nicholas Day, Andrej Babiš was sworn in as prime minister. Babiš, who already served as prime minister from 2017 to 2021, replaced Petr Fiala from the ODS party. In this post, I will briefly analyse the horoscope of the inauguration of the not-so-new Prime Minister and how the new government will manage as well.
The Prime Minister
Andrej Babiš was born in 1954 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. As one can see in his horoscope, he is very Virgo, having an ascendant, Mercury (Virgo is where Mercury is exalted and in his domicile) and the Sun in the sign of Virgo. Moreover, his Almuten Figuris is Mercury. This makes Babiš trickster, trader but also grounded person and one who is able to change his strategy easily. Mercury is not only the ruler of the ascendant, but also he rules the 10th house, highlighting his predisposition to achieve high positions. In addition, there is also Jupiter, exalted in Cancer, in the 10th house. It is not surprising that, according to Forbes1, the politician was the 7th wealthiest person in the Czech Republic. It is also reflected in his 2nd house, where Venus, the Moon, and Saturn emphasise the pursuit of wealth. Venus, in addition, the ruler of the 2nd house is in that house, moreover, she is in her domicile in Libra, supporting the building of material wealth.
Regarding his previous term as a prime minister, in September 2021, during his Mars firdaria period, the Moon sub-firdaria started. It was a month before parliamentary elections3. Mars, traditionally considered as a malevolent planet, in Babiš’s natal chart is in Capricorn, where he is exalted which indicates some dose of overconfidence of the Prime Minister at that time. The Moon, in turn, in the horoscope of Babiš is in the so-called via combusta which makes her malefic. Babiš’s party ANO lost the 2021 elections. Current firdaria is the North Node sitting in Capricorn in the Prime Minister’s natal chart.
The Comeback
The horoscope of Babiš’s swearing-in is not favourable. The ascendant in Capricorn is ruled by the peregrine Saturn that is at least in the succedent 2nd house, but in square with Mars that is also peregrine and in the cadent 12th house. That does not look promising for the Czech Prime Minister. So, maybe the office represented by the 10th is in better configuration? No. Mars, ruler of the 10th house, as already mentioned, is peregrine and in addition in the 12th house. Based on that, for the Prime Minister, his time in office is likely to be extremely challenging. ANO is forming a government with two other parties4 and the coalition’s stability may be overrated. Yet, despite internal conflicts, the coalition is likely to survive until the end of the term. At least something.
At the ending of the time in the office, the government is likely to have low poll ratings since Venus, the ruler of the 4th house, is as weak as Mars – dwelling in the cadent house, peregrine, and even combust.
Conclusions
Mr. Babiš6 publicly stated that he is interested in astrology and that he knows his zodiac sign (the position of the natal Sun). Therefore, this unfortunate timing of his swearing-in as prime minister is surprising. In any case, the next four years, according to astrological principles, look like they will be challenging for the Czech prime minister.
