Monthly Predictions for January 2026

In January 2026, it will get crowded in the sign of Aquarius as all the personal planets will gather in the water bearer sign.

On Thursday, January 1st, Mercury enters the sign of Capricorn, leaving the sign of Sagittarius where he was exiled. This ingress shifts communication from being open and spontaneous to more conservative, yet it eliminates unnecessary chatter and focuses on essential matters, which can be more pleasing for those of us who are introverts. Mercury in Capricorn may foster mental discipline to not give up during the New Year New Me! initiatives.

The first Saturday of January will be marked by the Full Moon in Cancer. The Moon will sit next to Jupiter being exalted in Cancer. On the opposite side of the zodiac circle, in Capricorn, is the Sun accompanied by Venus and Mars, both being dignified. Full Moon in Cancer pulls out all the needs for safety, cosiness, and being close to relatives.

For Virgo, the primary focus of this full moon will be on friendships, whereas for Taurus, it will be more about relation with siblings and strengthening relationships with extended family. Pisces will have a great opportunity to spend a good time with their children while for Scorpio, it will be the opportunity to rebuild trust in those around them. Aries may find this time full of frustration as the dynamic and expansive fiery sign has to stop for a while and confront with tensive emotions at home, that is definitely not the most favourite activity of Aries. Libra, on the other hand, will experience tension between what is expected from her and what gives her the sense of safety and fulfilment. Lastly, logical and organised Capricorn will have to face the emotional needs of their partners.

On Saturday, 17th of January, Venus enters the sign of Aquarius where she will stay for around a month. This transit signifies a shift in sense of beauty, creativity, relationships and expressing one’s feelings. It will foster uniting people, freedom of one’s expression, and creativity. That will also be a good time for finding connections through intellectual and creative ideas.

New Year New Me! or the New Moon in Capricorn

On Sunday, January 18th, the New Moon in the sign of pragmatic Capricorn accompanied by Mercury and Mars will be the first new moon of the 2026 year. It will be a perfect moment for planning and setting New Year’s resolutions. Think big, plan spectacular things and even if you don’t achieve all of them, achieving at least some of them will be some progress. Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is a planning enthusiast and will foster such activities by making sextile to the New Moon in Capricorn. Furthermore, Mercury together with Mars will support planning new initiatives and activities.

On Tuesday, January 20th, Sun enters the sign of Aquarius starting the so-called Aquarius season. It will be a period primarily focused around innovations, community and collective progress, new technologies, but also empowering individualism. The Sun leaving the sign of disciplined and structural Capricorn will bring qualities of Aquarius such as breaking old norms, and emphasizing the individual’s contribution to society. Venus will already be in Aquarius, awaiting the arrival of the other personal planets. Her presence will influence the way of concluding alliances and agreements. Consequently, we may continue to witness two opposing fronts regarding the war in Ukraine: the USA, which seeks a swift resolution regardless of the outcome, and Europe, which aims to prevent the conflict from spreading across the continent.

The same day, Mercury will join Venus and the Sun in Aquarius, accelerating the exchange of information.

On Friday, January 23rd, Mars will enter Aquarius. Together with the Sun and the two other planets, they will make the influence of Aquarius season heavier. The primary focus will likely shift to the future, rather than the present. Moreover, individuals with their needs will need to yield to collective interests.

On Monday, January 26th, Neptune comes back to Aries after three months and this is the last ingress of this planet into the sign of Aries in our lifetime. Neptune is a planet that’s all about spirituality, visions, spirit, and intuition. For the next 14 years, the planet will act according to the nature of the fiery and cardinal Aries. This transit will spark revolutionary moods, encouraging reevaluations of the current state and changes that may not be beneficial for everyone. In the coming years, we will also witness ideological revolutions, which may not always lead to positive outcomes. There will be bold and radical shifts in art and spirituality. These changes will also create ideal conditions for false authorities, gurus, and populists of all kinds.

And that would be it. I hope you have a great month ahead.
