After the presidential election in Poland in June 2025, won by Karol Nawrocki1, the government with Donald Tusk2 as the Prime Minister, from the opposite political side, faces a difficult challenge, since the new President unusually often vetoes bills sent from Parliament to his desk3. Of course, I felt the urge to check how the horoscopes of Poland’s two most important figures – the president and the prime minister – relate to each other. Let’s see whether these two can reach any agreement and achieve something positive for the country, or if their personal agendas will clash, regardless of the citizens’ interests.
President Karol Nawrocki
In the horoscope of The President of Poland, the ascendant is in the watery and fixed sign of Cancer – cold and moist. The ascendant’s ruler – the Moon – is in the third quarter phase – cold and dry. The Sun in Pisces due to the season is cold and moist and makes an aspect with both – the ascendant and the Moon, adding more coldness and moisture. In light of everything that has been said, his temperament is phlegmatic. The Sun on Medium Coeli (Midheaven) highlights his determination in developing his career. As one can see, he is doing it quite well.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk
Now, let’s have a closer look at the prime minister. The ascendant is in fiery and mutable Sagittarius, which is hot and dry. Jupiter – the ruler of Sagittarius – is hot and moist, and he makes an aspect to the ascendant which makes him adding even more of these qualities. The Sun in Taurus also adds qualities of hot and moist to the mix. The Moon in her last quarter phase also adds moisture but with coldness. Taking all of this together, the Prime Minister is a sanguine type. In his horoscope the Sun in Taurus, Uranus in Leo, Neptune in Scorpio and the Moon in Aquarius form Grand Cross in fixed signs – four planets forming squares between each other. This is a quite challenging aspect pattern forcing the native to make a significant effort to overcome the challenging influences of the Cross, however, if manages to do this, he can achieve a lot.
The Synastry Of Both
Considering the temperaments of both, one can notice that to some extent they have something in common, but it is not enough to assess whether they could be friends or allies. To carry out a more in-depth analysis, more factors have to be considered.
The Sun in Taurus in Tusk’s horoscope is in opposition to Nawrocki’s Moon in Scorpio (orange line) which can cause hostility. In addition, the presidential Moon connects to the Grand Cross of the Prime Minister being for Tusk another frustrating obstacle in achieving goals. On the other hand, the Midheaven of the Prime Minister conjunct the Moon of Nawrocki, which shows that Tusk’s career achievements irritates the President. Moreover, their Moons form square (orange line) causing aversion. These connections empower hostility in this relationship. In addition, their ascendants, Tusk’s in Sagittarius whereas Nawrocki’s in Cancer, are in inconjunction which empowers enmity between these two. However, the Suns in synastry form sextile, easing tensions between both officials, and their Lots Of Fortune, both located in Pisces, also soften antagonism a bit here.
Progressions
The secondary progressions of both figures confirm that they are unable to cooperate, and this is something on the level of their egos (Suns in square). Prime Minister’s progressed ascendant in the very first degree of Taurus square the ascendant of the President and only their Moons are in sextile, and it shows us that at the current stages of their lives, neither of them is able to put aside their dislike for each other, although it is not the most intense kind of hostility but rather aversion.
Transits
Currently, Mars transits one of the corners of the Grand Cross in the natal chart of Donald Tusk as well as the natal Moon of Karol Nawrocki, fostering a confrontational mood at this sensitive point. In addition, Pluto transits another corner of the Tusk’s Grand Cross which means he square the presidential Moon which causes not only the tension in the Prime Minister’s life, but also in relation between the two most important figures. The current political situation is difficult for both of them and forces both of them to act in a way that serves the state but at the same time weaken the position of the other one.
Conclusions
The President and the Prime Minister are unable to come to terms based on their natal horoscopes as well as transits and progressions. Moreover, neither the external political circumstances nor their personal abilities support cooperation between them. At least until the parliamentary elections in 2027, the Prime Minister and the President are likely to keep clashing like it happened in September 20256, and unfortunately the consequences will fall entirely on the citizens. Luckily, it is not a blind, thoughtless hatred, but rather a reluctance rooted in the political views of both officials, so hopefully they will not put the country into chaos for the sake of their personal prejudices and particular interests.
